The Welcome Glass: Setting the Banquet Tone

A triumphant holiday gathering welcomes guests at the frost-covered doorstep with warm glassware or a bright, sparkling aperitif. In standard holiday parties, drinks often lean either overly sugary or heavily boozy. Our beverage library focuses on herbal tension, woodsy aromatics, and crisp natural acids.

By blending traditional Scandinavian aquavit—steeped in caraway, dill seed, and coriander—with Mexican mezcal and fresh winter citrus, we evoke both snowy pine forests and smoky fireside comfort.

Banquet Beverage Menu Highlights

The Fjord & Fire Margarita

Oaxacan mezcal, Nordic lingonberry syrup, freshly pressed lime, and a rim dusted with crushed juniper sugar and smoked sea salt.

Warm Lingonberry Glögg

Red wine and Swedish aquavit simmered gently with dried wild berries, whole cloves, cardamom pods, and charred orange peel.

Pine & Tonic (Zero-Proof)

Spruce-tip infusion, house-made tonic cordial, crisp soda water, and a flamed sprig of fresh winter rosemary.

Recipe: The Communal Lingonberry Punch Bowl (Serves 12)

Preparing individual cocktails for large gatherings can keep the host trapped behind the shaker. This communal punch bowl can be assembled two hours prior, allowing guests to ladle self-served cheer.

Punch Bowl Assembly Ingredients

  • 750ml light blanco tequila or herbal botanical gin
  • 500ml 100% unsweetened lingonberry or cranberry juice
  • 250ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 200ml rosemary honey syrup (equal parts water and honey boiled with 4 rosemary sprigs)
  • 1 liter dry sparkling wine or dry apple cider (chilled)
  • Garnish: frozen whole cranberries, sliced lime wheels, and cinnamon sticks

Directions: In a punch bowl or large drink dispenser, stir together the spirit, lingonberry juice, lime juice, and rosemary syrup over a large block of ice. Just before guests arrive, pour in the chilled sparkling wine or dry cider. Scatter the frozen berries and lime slices across the surface.
